BLOG: I Am Not Alone!

When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere. "Oh, sir, what will we do now?" the young man cried to Elisha.
"Don't be afraid!" Elisha told him. "For there are more on our side than on theirs!" Then Elisha prayed, "O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!" The Lord opened the young man's eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire. 2 Kings 6:15-17
Do you ever feel like you want to grow closer God but are afraid to because of the impending attack of the enemy you know is certain to come? You know you need to seek Him but you've always heard that the closer you get to God the more the enemy wants to attack.  Sadly, we let these fears and emotions hinder our spiritual growth. Or maybe your situation is different.  Maybe you are facing difficulties at work, at school or even home. Many times the circumstances that surround us make it seem as if we are utterly alone. We are filled with fear, confusion and our minds are constantly thinking, "nobody understands", "no one is there for me", "nobody cares."

Well God wants you to know that you are not alone! There is no need to fear any attack of the enemy because he is outnumbered! Although our eyes may not see it, there is a very real spiritual realm that surrounds us and in it exists a constant battle between good and evil. You may already be aware of this but we need to be reminded once in a while so that we may be encouraged to confront whatever comes our way. Just like Elisha prayed for his servant's eyes to be opened when the servant panicked, we must also pray for our eyes to be opened so we can see that there are more on our side than on the enemy's.  The Word of God says in Romans 8:31, ..."If God be for us, who can be against us?" Nothing can stand against the protection and covering that God offers to those who love Him.  So take courage and stand firm! Put on your shield of faith.  Then go into your secret place and seek Him fervently and fearlessly! Know that there are chariots of fire that are waiting to battle for you!  You are definitely not alone!

"Lord thank you for your protection. Thank you because I know that I am not alone. Increase my faith and fill me with the desire to seek you. Meet me in my secret place and give me the wisdom I need to confront my enemy and whatever situation may come my way. In the name of Jesus I pray, amen."

  3. Blessing Lilly, saying a prayer for you right now. I pray the Lord gives you a job in which you have peace. In the meantime, let your life be a testimony to those around you. You're right they may sign your paycheck but you work for God. God gave you that job. Colossians 3:23 says, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." And keep in mind that you may have very well been strategically placed by God himself at that job to be light in the midst of darkness. Be blessed and continue to minister with your life and your actions. You are not alone!
